The gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Hellesylt Port has long traditions as a cruise destination, and is well known as the starting or ending point of the classic overland excursions to Geiranger, or excursion to Stranda only.

It is possible to berth at the pier at Hellesylt for half a day, and then continue to Geiranger for a further half-day. This schedule allows the authorities to provide better services on water and even better services and logistics on shore.
